Daily Writing Journal: Bookshop spotlight Waterstones on Tottenham Court Road and Novel editing progress update
Waterstones bookshop on Tottenham Court Road
I was in the Westend and it caught my attention, I do have a regular bookshop I use as well as Amazon. But the staff here are super-friendly and took the time out of explain books covers and packaging.
You know I self-publish so I went on a fact finding mission. I think there is a coffeehouse upstairs but I was running an errand so couldn't stop for one.
The last week's editing lesson on conflict
It didn't even take me that long, probably because I had a schedule of an hour a day - which ended up being about 15 - 30 minutes in 15 minutes slots. I managed to complete it so moving on to the next less.
Lesson 6
IN LESSON SIX: You’ll move on to triage your characters.Yes, not that interesting and I'm slowly losing interest in my story but I'll suck it, Butttercup and keep going. Now I have to audit all my characters which should be a blast...not. I'm going to revisit these characters in week 11 so let's roll.
The status
Now you can see why I decided to have a full blog plan to write about other things because blogging about editing is boring. Writing about editing is boring. Talking about editing is boring. And above all doing editing is boring.
