Prompt 2 of 100 for Self Discovery Challenge - Day 2 If you could live anywhere, where would you choose?

Day 2 - If you could live anywhere, where would you choose? Where I am right now in London. It's a boring answer however I am happy living where I am with family close by and in a magical city. If I could have a second home, it would be in the somewhere in the tropics with mangrove trees and a beach. A third home may be a ranch in the Rockies, or somewhere.  That was simple so catch you all in day three.

June Update - Novel-In-Progress, Reading books, The curious case of Mister Big Man

Another update, yay! I hope everyone is keeping well. Novel In Progress It seems I write an average of 10,000 words a month so I'm estimating another 40,000 words. This means I'm looking at an October finish. Let's make that November. It's going okay and a bit slow because I'm also doing some research so that slows down the pace. Saying this, I'm glad I'm past the midpoint and heading to the first crisis point.  Photography and Photoshop I had no real time for this.  Books I'm doing a YA Fantasy reading tour and up to now have read about five. They all tend to have the same baseline story and characters. I have plenty of books-in-the-pipeline and it is only after finishing the current one will I review the others.  A lot time ago, I did a children writing course so maybe this might be something I could do.  The curious case of Mister Big Man This is messy it is what it is. Mister Big Man knows everything but really knows nothing and opines at lot about s...

2019 GOALS Quarter 1 January-March Review.

This is a review of goals/resolutions I set in January in the below blog post.  t https://dabwrites.blogspot.com/2019/01/16-daily-writing-journal-short-2018.html  and basically I'm just going to write under my reviews under the headings. For some reason, I only listed 9. 2019 GOALS Quarter 1 January-March Review. 1. Get a new role - this is urgent and top priority Achieved  I was on a contract and it came to an end. It took me sometime because I was wrapping up in my old role, then I fell ill, (you can check out those blog posts). It was hectic but I had strong support around me so it worked out well. I was hoping my contract would be extended but it wasn't as I really liked where I worked so it was tough but I got there in the end. I was blessed to get a new role! 2 Publish Leyton and Angelica's story The editing is currently in process - check out my Sunday posts, I probably have to do a better schedule. I hope to publish in the late Summer, early fall. ...

#47 Daily Writing Journal: Up and About - went outside, my urban lit African American romance - Leyton and Angelica Progress! Planning a Blog

Up and About - went outside I went outside for the first time in a week. Yes, it's being that long.. It was wet and cold but I needed to get weighed. I don't have a pair of weighing scales at home so I use the gym. I was slightly unsteady but that was a gushing wind. Then I went looking for a loaf of fresh bread but the shop bakeries hadn't started yet, I think it's because it was a Sunday. Normally on a week day or Saturday the shops would smell of freshly baked bread so I just bought some milk. Later on, in the evening,  I needed to get some revision cards for my next  editing assignment so I popped into my local Waitrose. Quite an expensive shop but I didn't have the emery to walk to the main stationary shop on the main road. I managed to avoid the obstacle course of sweets and treats.  I don't tend to buy them, the problem with shop-made-baked products is that they don't taste as good as they look. Treats at the shop My urban lit Afri...

#46 Daily Writing Journal: Up and about - trying not to go back to bad habits.

Up and about - trying not to go back to bad habits.  I'm feeling so much better, thank you, apart from a nasty cough - but that will go soon.  Hopefully. I was up all night coughing away. Rack, rack, rack..... So now, I'm better all of a sudden my bad habits and cravings come back. I want to eat junk food and I'm getting frustrated at the simplest things - eg not being about to get creative cloud from launch. I have a MacBook and in some things it can be very  frustrating compared to a PC. A lot of things seem to be hidden in MAC.  Anyway, I know I'm back to normal because I'm feeling a tad grumpy and more resistance to change.  Bad Habits you ask wanting to eat sweets and junk food not drinking enough - now the cold is over trying to do too much.  Oh well, my next editing lesson comes out tomorrow so it will be back to writing. And maybe other things.

Decluttering Me! Discovering the Marie Kondo way to declutter PART 3

Hi all, So I've sorted out ALL my clothes, and makes for about 12 bags of clothes. New, old, tatty, prism etc. I've donated the first two bags I filled when I begun and with the other ten bags, I'm going to see if I can sell some stuff. I also have stuff for recycling so I need to bag that up. All in all a lot of stuff. So the plans are going to a carboot sales. I think of doing it online but I stopped using eBay a long time ago, and really I can't be bothered with the postage. The same with Depo. It's new and sounds fab but it's the same old postage issues and buyers wanting something for nothing. Also I just want this to be an easy process. To be honest it's really shipping/postage that is the big dealer. Also buyers. Saying that before I got bored on my eBay account, I did sell a lot. There are lots of options for reselling but I want minimum hassle so I'm doing it the old fashion way. In a car book sale. So the next stage is books which wil...

Week ending 18th February 2018: Got a bad cold, lost some weight, still writing.

Hey everyone. Hope you all had a good week. Yes this is just another photoshop practice project. It's not quite there yet, but I'm practicing, and practicing and  practicing. So still looking amateurish. I'm just going to stick to what my teacher said - keep it simple. I've been ill - knocked down with a cold so not much going on. I've not gone out much, and doubt I will next week otherwise I'd probably get another cold. I've lost a 2lb this week, which I put down to making my own lunches, rather than eating out. I have more control over the stuff that goes into my food. The writing is still going well, though I had to prioritise one course over the other. Next I need to start thinking of my marketing plan. I've got some stories I can release form my course and see how those fare. The photoshop classes are great, but I need to keep it simple. I'm just experimenting with these results, but I'll have to get more focus and not try and...

Weekly update. Verdict on Check It movie, lack of black male role models and normal boring stuff. Oh and I'm still fat.

Hello everyone! So new focus. Yes, I never know what to write about. Never know what’s interesting so I’m just going to write for myself…if that makes sense. There are slew of blogs trying to change the world, radicalise the world, and revolutionise the world so I’m not doing that here. Not am I going to think - oh will people find this interesting or boring. To be frank, I’m a pretty boring person but hey ho let me write.  I’m thinking of changing my gym. Well right now I’m a member of Virgin Active Health Club which styles itself as a life style gym, and to be honest the only thing I use is the hot tub, sauna and steam room. In the three years I’ve been a member, I’ve only been in the gym about ten times, gone for two classes - they are always fully book so I only really just use the hydro-pool/spa, and steam room. I’m a member of the Islington Angel branch which is were all the posh liberals are.  This is a picture of the spa, and pool. The pool can be a bit chill at t...

Real Life: Up date on 'I like him' situation

Hey everyone! It's been difficult week with a lot of things going on. I managed to complete a huge goal of mine at work, which was super stressful, using the procrastination book's strategy. It wasn't easy because I stall but eventually I did what I had to do. so Mr Cool Dude and been texting me. Well we have been texting each other, and he's very cute. I like him, though I haven't said that to him nor has he told me. Lots of Emojis flying backwards and forwards. He's very sweet and makes me laugh.  So it's kind of like a textionship at the moment. Nah I lie, we've chatted a few times, like everyday apart from today - well we did briefly. However I've not met him so it's all just non-physical.  Because you get on with someone doesn't mean there will be that attraction in real life. Still he's cute and funny. Nothing is happening with the First Guy. You fancy someone, don't get the opportunity to get to know them in a d...

Real Life: Pre-teen puts on full face of makeup, plus update on man situation and other stuff.

Hey Everyone! I'm a bit of roll today so just take my post in your stride. Went out to the gym, had luck with Fab Mama, and went back home. Thinking of what to do for the rest of the evening, so I decided a blog post. Yay! Pre-teen and makeup.  I just saw the most awful thing today. An eleven year old (or under - definitely not a teen!)  in my family gym putting on a full face of makeup. She was using that stupid Zoella range and some other silly pocket school stuff. Are you kidding me!! I watched frozen with horror as this young child put on primer, foundation then concealer. HER SKIN IS TOO YOUNG FOR THAT RUBBISH!!! SHE HAD SPOTS!!! WHICH PRE-PUBERTY KID HAS SPOTS???!!! THIS WAS NOT DRESS UP MAKE UP SHE WAS DOING, BUT HER PROPER ROUTINE!!! Kids are under so much pressure! Blooding bloggers becoming millionaires - preying on innocent kids. SOD OFF! That stufff is just fucking up her skin! I know because at seventeen a friend started using a certain facial ...
