I've been getting disillusioned and bored with this challenge. I wish I could say how simple it was and inspire others but I think (note my personal opinion) a waste of time. Rather than pulling off a saving plan off a random blog like I did, I suggest get some advice from a published personal finance book from a reputable writer - buy or borrow from a library or get advice from a reputable personal finance website better still go the bank or credit union. NOT A BLOG.  This is crazy and unsustainable! It really it. Anyway Rant over! Moving on,  I managed to find some money otherwise I consider putted an IOU to myself. I got five twenty pence pieces giving a pound, five ten pence pieces giving fifty pence. Then three fifty pence pieces and a pound coin....all in all giving me four quid. Yes, quid is short form for pound sterling. Here is the money jar. I'm not sure when I'm going to the bank. My next deposit is going to be £15. I guess it gets harder after £20. Howeve...

EMPTY! Just kidding, I thought instead of using the tin, it was time to get a bigger container. And no I haven't thought about when I'd do some banking.  I do have something in mind now, but not sure since it will be quite soon, and this is really for the end of the YEAR. OH WHY! WHY! This is my cash for saving. Look at Jane Austen looking serious. Bet, she never thought she'd be on the pound note. Ten pound at that. Not a fiver. Anyway my other three pounds. New tin - well plastic container and money. This is boring but so are most challenges. If it were exciting it wouldn't be challenging.  Ah, yes, the old tin makes an appearance. It is time to do the transfer. Not sure what I'm going to be using the old tin for. Transfer is complete. You can see I have three tenners, and a couple of fivers peering out of the new money pot. Let's see much longer.

What is the point? Another £12 in the pot. I've given up on my takeaway meals. Yes, takeout. In fact I now  walk pass places and think, 'that is tin money. Blog 52 week challenge'. I don't know.  I get the picture is upside down but give me break. Cash is cash. So I cracked up and I  ordered some roast chicken via a delivery service.  And all I could think was stat was potentially X-amount  that could have gone in the 52 Week Mo Money Challenge money. There is the Queen smiling - it's a small smile at us. And there are the fifty pence coins. Then tenner in the tin is Jane Austen staring out at us. That was from last week's haul. HAUL FROM MY PURSE. The money is now firmly in the tin.

Not so well. I've missed a few posts, and I've been busy off line with other commitments. Even though I have two films/movies lined up, I had no time to watch them. So I'm going to have to review what goes and what stays. I'm thinking of reducing the blogging but I'll see. Did I not have a plan? Yes, I did but it more about time and scheduling, and finding what I'm interested in. Also I'm supposed to be a writer and I'm not even promoting my own work. Plus not even sure people are reading this. Okay but just like one or two people. Not even sure if its consistent.  Show My Desk  I missed one feature, just totally forgot because I had some urgent errands that day. And who exactly what's to look at at my messy desk? I might give this a miss but I'll see. Wednesday - Film/Movie Night I don't have a Netflicks subscription and I do watch movies but not as much. So this will probably be a struggle. So this is my £11. It was harder this time - check out my mini-rant last week. I get weary especially when I realised for the next 8 weeks I'd have to find £10 plus an incremental 2 - 9. But this is the challenge I took. Beware of taking random challenge for likes and hits. Yes the money tin, with the Queen of England starting at you from the five pound note. I'm not even sure why I am doing this. I've got another of uses for this savings though. The money is now in the tin. So it will be balance remember I started in week 7 and this is week 11 but I'm not counting now. I might have to change the tin. This is pretty boring and painful.

Week 10 Money Drama I'm feeling the heat of this challenge, it's not easy. I got my £10 out and bought something instead of coming straight to the tin. So I suddenly realised why its so hard to accomplish even though it's deceptively simple. Save the number of the week and soon at the end of the year, you'll be cashed up. Sitting on the money box. The truth is that after the the single digits weeks, things become a little harder. I mean I started on week 7 and I'm feeling the heat What makes it complicated? Note I'm using my home currency of GBP or Pound Sterling but this applies to any currency using the decimal currency. In the first week of single digits from £1 to £9 a total of £45 is saved. Now this the baseline savings.  The for the next ten weeks from 10 to 19 a total of £100 is saved plus the based rate of £45. Now this means getting £10 plus whatever number from 1-9 to put into the kitty - tin. Now this is find until the challenge starts t...

I found this challenge on the  Budgetnista web site and it sounded interesting. At first I came up with a whole load of excuses not to do it ranging from not having a account, not sure how to do this, time etc etc. Then I found a simpler challenge but a challenge is a challenge so I went back to this. The 52-week money challenge Every week I save the week number's cash. Now I'm starting at week 7 so I'm am going to be £21 behind. Note I'm working in GBP or Pound Sterling.  I may or not may it up weeks 1 to 21.  Budgetnista  recommends opening up a savings accounts and automating the transfers, and I do too.
