Which projects delivered meaningful outcomes vs. activity?

At this time is it probably the Project #5: Google Drive Review where I had to jump in deep and do a file audit, which led to the discovery of how much work I've put into some incomplete projects. It was meaningful because it has realigned some of my goals and motivation to be more focused on the projects I have. I often forget about my novels-in-progress but that was a good reminder.

However saying this, I'm still writing Project #1: Finish book 2 which is Thomas brother #2  from that page.

Project #8 Complete LinkedIn Learning course this has been really good so I need to focus on this and not get adrift. I've really enjoyed some of the subjects on the pathways.

Where did results differ most from expectations?

The Project #5: Google Drive Review because I thought it would be easy rather than going down memory lane and pushing me to get things in order.

Which projects are clearly worth continuing—and why?

The first goal is the main focus Project #1: Finish book 2 because it is part of a series and I'd like to finish it up and then do a reassessment of the list.

Project #8 Complete LinkedIn Learning course because it is day career driven and it is about career development. I need 40 credits of CPPD.

Project #7 Watching Instructional videos: On Hold but tentative The issue is watching it alone is dry so I may blog it.

Which are being dropped and what triggered that call?

Not so much dropped but put on hold, or paused or parked.  This is because they don't align to the current goal and just take up too much time. However who knows.

Project #3: Review romance conference material On Hold
Project #4: Review Jericho conference material On Hold
Project #6: Genre exploration On Hold
Project #7 Watching Instructional videos: On Hold but tentative
Project #9 The cover design course On Hold

I'll focus on two goals for now, but as a someone that hops from one project to another, I'll have to see how it goes. I also need to do other things like searching for a job which is more a necessity than a goal.

What will be done differently in Q2 based on this?

Hard to say at this point. I guess it will be focusing on two goals but I may get bored and switch. Maybe I should do like a day tracker or something but I'll probably forget at some point. Or maybe hours. Sounds interesting. We'll see.

Show me your desk: Books, magazines, bottle of water, and same old clutter.

Today I have more of a writerly desk, so let's roll. From the far left handside is my writing magazine, I treat myself to it, and it has some interesting articles at times. It's just something I flick though the way other people buy GQ, Vougue or Marie Claire. It's my monthly interest magazine, and no I don't do the writing exercises but then who buys all the clothes, make-up and perfume advertised in the high-end women's magazines.  Next is a bottle of vitamins, this was a gift from Sis. Yes, as you probably realise, Sis is very generous with her gifts as they are normally featured on my desk. If fact the Apple Notebook is also one.  A small fact is that I bought my first phone only two years ago because for the last ten years, Sis gave me all her hand-me-downs. She's very on top of technology - ahead of the curve, wave or early adaptor.  Anyway she got me them because she's into healthy eating and body care, and probably got them on discount. ...

Up Date on Happenings: Newly Single & 17% pay raise.

Hey Everyone, So update since my last entry. Well I had a brief fling with Mr Sexy Guy and decided he wasn't the one for me. He was cool but I learned the difference between lust, chemistry and personality. It just didn't tango for me. I'm still grossly overweight, well, fat. I don't think there is anything wrong with being called fat. I am fat. I need to lose weight but that means getting organised and stop eating delicious food. Then again my knees are hurting me and joints feel the ache. I also haven't been to the gym in three months despite paying for it. But when I do, I normally go for the sauna, hot tub and   steam room session. I've thought of cancelling the exorbitant membership but in the climate apart from bills it's the one thing that is just for me...that when I use it. Work is fine, managed to get a 17% pay raise. A big thanks to my boss who also pushed for it. It's good to work for people who support you in that matter. I think tha...

Had coffee with a fellow writer, went to an exhibition on West Africa: Word, Symbol, Song at the British Library.

There was a massive Disney Christmas tree at St Pancras Station.  I thought I'd start with that picture. Implemented Accounting Guru Genius (AGG)  method this morning. I mentioned yesterdays she showed me her way of planning. Well it's kinda like project management critical path and working back but in AGG's way.  Well the results where what I sort of knew but it's official. I do too much. I've got so much on that I have make very slow progress with anything then end up procrastinating. So I really need to learn and get this planning and time management method under my belt. The only reason is that it's kinda the only thing I actually got. When AGG first did it, I was amazed. It was so impressive. I kinda forgot about it but it's coming up to the end of the year, and I've made great progress with some goals and projects but others are still hanging. Anyway after putting in all my hours I realised I only had a certain amount of free time. Not a...
