Show me your desk! Decluttering in progress

A nearly decluttered desk. Surprise, right? I know and there are reasons but lets roll with the line up. It starts with my faithful MacBook Air - this reminds me I must got to the Apple shop as the screws are coming loose. Never had this with my PC laptop.

Next making an appearance after missing for a while is my desk lamp. Yes, I had house guests so one needed a reading lamp in the bedroom for the the duration of their stay. Now the lamp is back. Underneath the lamp is a piece of card which is a mobile phone top-up voucher. Yes, I have a pay-as-you-go sim, its just convenient.

After that is my calculator, very important in my line of work, which brings me to why the desk is sort of decluttered. I had a very bad cold last week, spent a couple of days in bed, dragged myself to the workplace sniffing, sneezing and feeling stuffed. So I decided it was best to work from home otherwise the journey in would do me no good, and run me into the ground. Plus, it would take longer to recover and throw off the cold. My point? Well, I worked from home and therefore had to have a clear desk. My workplace is larger so to accommodate my office notes etc,  and have a work mindset, it cleared. But after work, the desk reverted back to normal on Saturday.

Next is my pencil case or bag with some index card under it which probably relates to my writing. After  that is an eyeshadow brush - not sure what it's doing there, and finally is a coaster which says 'Everything is Good' with a picture of the thumbs up.

My African American & Black Love Romance Adventure Nearly Ready After Four Years.

Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to read this. This post is going to be about my upcoming black love and African American contemporary romance release, which I think tentatively will be late this year or early 2024. It will be a six-part serialised novel, and I'll reveal the date nearer the time. It has been five years since my last black love romance novel. I have two novellas published on Amazon, and I'm  pleased to finally say, I'm about to publish again. It's been a long time.  I planned to release this book in February 2019, but after a long writer's block and other things, it had taken me this long to complete it.  If you follow this blog on and off, I've spoken about it a lot over the years. I'm thinking maybe I should relabel those blog posts as a series of how it developed.  The Story Description The names have changed well from Angelica to Pippa but it's fine.  Everyone wants someone special but PIPPA MILLER thinks not her. She

Lost Four Pounds! Attended Pilates! Watched Patricia Bright

On Friday my boss got bored of me talking about my eating plan and how I only used my gym for the spa facilities, so let's just say I forced to put my money where my mouth was and ended up booking five exercise sessions. Yes, hard to believe I've been with my gym for over a year and have NEVER ATTENDED A GYM CLASS. Mainly, because I like the spa and thing food reduction is the way to lose weight also just thinking of exercise exhausts me. I needed to book them via the website but having never done it, my password failed so I rang, in front of my boss, the gym to book it. Proof. They are mainly low impact classes so nothing too strenuous or so I thought. Come Saturday, I'm down the gym for my pilates class with all these fit, slim and trendy people. It's a 9AM class so basically like a work day for me. I thought pilates was gentle. Not. I say this having done it for about three years in a dance school - yeah I was once about twenty pounds or ten kilos lighter - and the

HAPPY NEW YEAR - LET THE GOALS ROLL

Hello all. Happy New Year! So last year was awesome for me because I managed to achieve one goal. The biggest goal which was to get a new job. And that came with financial reward as well. Yay! It was hard, challenging, horrible. I hate change but I had to get out of the rut I was in. Dudes, I was desperate to move. So I dug deep, did my interview practice, attended a number of interviews and hit one. Yay. Now longer gaming. I didn't need the escapism with my new positive work environment. I also abandoned the iPhone family and went Android. To cut a long story short, I got bought an iPhone 8 but it was faulty - however Apple weren't transparent about their return policy - ALWAYS ASK ABOUT RETURN POLICY. Nor did they believe the phone was faulty. It was. Anyway I was so disgusted the arrogance of the 'apple people', I decided instead of getting a replacement to spend my money elsewhere. I'm still part of the Apple family. But the Apple Store sales assist
