Weekly Journal - writing, watched Black Panther - EXCELLENT MOVIE

Dear Internet Family and Friends, I've written two posts abut decided not to post them. They didn't seem appropriate. One was about my experience of parts of the novel writing. I was a bit disillusioned with the process and at a cross roads. Another was commenting on the sexual harassment and Oxfam.  I also wanted to cover Mo'Nique but you know what guys? I don't really know what to say. I have opinions but it's not my things. It's stuff I share off line over a lunch with my colleagues or with real life family. Social commentary isn't my thing especially when my opinion is based on some various reports from others. The above is an image I made, I still need more practice. This graphic designs thing is hard. There is a lot of work to do with fonts types and being precise. I found myself using a calculator to get the measurements right. I also can't seem to find the right pictures or images of models facing the right way. I understand why many do ph

Week ending 18th February 2018: Got a bad cold, lost some weight, still writing.

Hey everyone. Hope you all had a good week. Yes this is just another photoshop practice project. It's not quite there yet, but I'm practicing, and practicing and  practicing. So still looking amateurish. I'm just going to stick to what my teacher said - keep it simple. I've been ill - knocked down with a cold so not much going on. I've not gone out much, and doubt I will next week otherwise I'd probably get another cold. I've lost a 2lb this week, which I put down to making my own lunches, rather than eating out. I have more control over the stuff that goes into my food. The writing is still going well, though I had to prioritise one course over the other. Next I need to start thinking of my marketing plan. I've got some stories I can release form my course and see how those fare. The photoshop classes are great, but I need to keep it simple. I'm just experimenting with these results, but I'll have to get more focus and not try and

My week ending 11 Feb - writing courses, photoshop, beta-reading novel, preparing to self publish....

Hey Everyone, Hope you've all had a good week!  I found I've taken on too much so some of my plans are on the back burner. I also got run down with a bug. I don't know what's a cold or flu or bug. Week's catch up. Work is cool, so much laugher though there is lots to do. It's taking some getting used it. First it's nothing, then full throttle ahead. My ergonomic mouse packed up so I'm using my non-dominant mouse hand, and that's swollen. All I can say its the last time I buy something off a reseller on Amazon. They weren't bad, but it's just now they have referred me to the manufacturer in the USA. I'm in the UK for crying out load. All I can say is always check the warranty on electronics and who take responsibility.  It wasn't a cheap mouse, it cost about $150 or £100. So not happy. Writing classes Going well but hard work. The proof is keeping up the momentum. I'm doing the Faber short courses and currently doin

Review of January 2018 - lost weight, socialised with others, completed my beta-read, doing my courses.

Hello everyone, Just checking in about my goals and life in general. It's all good. What went well. I took in packed lunches for at least four days a week. This was just hummus, sprouts, grated carrot sandwich. So very vegan.  I also cooked dinner a few times a night rather than eating junk food or takeaway. So a lot healthier. I finally have a social life of sorts. In my last job - it was work, home and see family on weekends. I was so drained and tired so this new job has made such a difference, that I can go out and meet people.  So I go out with some drinking mates once a week. It's a nice evening out of the house and away from social media or the internet. It's mostly small talk but its nice. I'm doing my photoshop course. That is coming along nicely, that picture is from one of my practice sessions. I'm doing a couple of writing courses which are intense. What hasn't gone well. I need to focus on having more routines, and breaking tasks
