#48 Daily Writing Journal: Planning my Blog, my urban lit African American romance - Leyton and Angelica Progress!

Planning my Blog

Inspired by my writing friend, Raven Black, I'm thinking of planning my blog.  Check out her blog. Not sure because I'm not a planner. I purposely chose a career where I needed to do little planning. Planning makes me feel constricted but it does have it's benefits. But where do I start? Normally when I plan, I either get stuck in the planning stages or by the time I'm completely I lose interest. No harm in trying. She said it took her a week to plan her blog.

I guess my biggest takeaway from reading Raven's blog was finding out my goal. Her was to improve her social media presence by being consistent, and it has worked. I tend to flirt with social media - that includes blogging. The benefit of this is having a more rounded blog....not just me moaning about  writing or colds or editing.

I guess my biggest goal would be to promote my writing but I don't think blogging does that. However I do have different creative outlets - drawing - badly, cartooning, designing other stuff etc.

I'll work something out. We'll see.

Progress Update: my urban lit African American romance - Leyton and Angelica

Not too good at the moment. I missed out a complete day because it was complex material - well at least to me. I did about 30 minutes yesterday and 30 minutes this morning so maybe I'll pick up momentum. I aim to do at least an hour a day. So I'm behind schedule by at least an hour and half - an hour on Sunday and half on Monday. I can catch up today.

OUTLOOK: From what I've done, I have a lot of work to do...so I hope I make my publication date.

I'm looking at quite a bit of rewriting. I don't think I actually start writing until week 18 which is the third part of the revision course. Saying that, it's an adventure and it allows me to manage my time a lot better.  I just need to ensure I don't fall behind. So I've got 15 more lessons before than.

My African American & Black Love Romance Adventure Nearly Ready After Four Years.

Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to read this. This post is going to be about my upcoming black love and African American contemporary romance release, which I think tentatively will be late this year or early 2024. It will be a six-part serialised novel, and I'll reveal the date nearer the time. It has been five years since my last black love romance novel. I have two novellas published on Amazon, and I'm  pleased to finally say, I'm about to publish again. It's been a long time.  I planned to release this book in February 2019, but after a long writer's block and other things, it had taken me this long to complete it.  If you follow this blog on and off, I've spoken about it a lot over the years. I'm thinking maybe I should relabel those blog posts as a series of how it developed.  The Story Description The names have changed well from Angelica to Pippa but it's fine.  Everyone wants someone special but PIPPA MILLER thinks not her. She

Lost Four Pounds! Attended Pilates! Watched Patricia Bright

On Friday my boss got bored of me talking about my eating plan and how I only used my gym for the spa facilities, so let's just say I forced to put my money where my mouth was and ended up booking five exercise sessions. Yes, hard to believe I've been with my gym for over a year and have NEVER ATTENDED A GYM CLASS. Mainly, because I like the spa and thing food reduction is the way to lose weight also just thinking of exercise exhausts me. I needed to book them via the website but having never done it, my password failed so I rang, in front of my boss, the gym to book it. Proof. They are mainly low impact classes so nothing too strenuous or so I thought. Come Saturday, I'm down the gym for my pilates class with all these fit, slim and trendy people. It's a 9AM class so basically like a work day for me. I thought pilates was gentle. Not. I say this having done it for about three years in a dance school - yeah I was once about twenty pounds or ten kilos lighter - and the

HAPPY NEW YEAR - LET THE GOALS ROLL

Hello all. Happy New Year! So last year was awesome for me because I managed to achieve one goal. The biggest goal which was to get a new job. And that came with financial reward as well. Yay! It was hard, challenging, horrible. I hate change but I had to get out of the rut I was in. Dudes, I was desperate to move. So I dug deep, did my interview practice, attended a number of interviews and hit one. Yay. Now longer gaming. I didn't need the escapism with my new positive work environment. I also abandoned the iPhone family and went Android. To cut a long story short, I got bought an iPhone 8 but it was faulty - however Apple weren't transparent about their return policy - ALWAYS ASK ABOUT RETURN POLICY. Nor did they believe the phone was faulty. It was. Anyway I was so disgusted the arrogance of the 'apple people', I decided instead of getting a replacement to spend my money elsewhere. I'm still part of the Apple family. But the Apple Store sales assist
