March Update: Photoshop Composting, Writing, Meal Plan, My first trip out of my area.

Island in a sea

This is one of the composites, I created in one of the courses. This was based on graphic design and I feel like an island floating in a new landscape. It is a composite of three images with a bit of blending.

Photoshop Composting

I'm still finding my way with this, so I have the technical skills which I realise it a matter of masks and blending modes however the next thing is to keep on doing it until I learn the principles of graphic design. It's complicated to explain and I'm still finding my way but basically at some point I need to start doing my own stuff, and right now those images look a bit awkward until I get the design aspect right.

It can be fun but also some aspects can be tedious and boring. And I guess it's a matter of keep on practice,  and I also want to get to the point, I can use my own pictures.

Writing

Going well and steady, nothing significant to report on that front. But I'm looking at a soft deadline of completing the draft at the end of May.

Meal Plans

Well, Ma and I have taken a break until next Wednesday/Thursday when we'll resume the eating plan. These plans are hard to sustain, even with the best will and intension so it's softly, softly. There are so many restrictions in place then one on food, it feels hard. Anyway, we are going back on track and will resume at least for the next month or so.

My first trip out of my area

After a year of staying solely within two-three miles of my area - about 5km, I made a journey on the train to visit family. Still in the same city, I took the first train about 6am - it was about a ten minute journey then there was walking time. Spent time with family and at just after noon, I made my way back home. I was considering walking back home but decided walking for two hours as opposed to just a ten minute? I knew which I wanted.

My African American & Black Love Romance Adventure Nearly Ready After Four Years.

Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to read this. This post is going to be about my upcoming black love and African American contemporary romance release, which I think tentatively will be late this year or early 2024. It will be a six-part serialised novel, and I'll reveal the date nearer the time. It has been five years since my last black love romance novel. I have two novellas published on Amazon, and I'm  pleased to finally say, I'm about to publish again. It's been a long time.  I planned to release this book in February 2019, but after a long writer's block and other things, it had taken me this long to complete it.  If you follow this blog on and off, I've spoken about it a lot over the years. I'm thinking maybe I should relabel those blog posts as a series of how it developed.  The Story Description The names have changed well from Angelica to Pippa but it's fine.  Everyone wants someone special but PIPPA MILLER thinks not her. She

Lost Four Pounds! Attended Pilates! Watched Patricia Bright

On Friday my boss got bored of me talking about my eating plan and how I only used my gym for the spa facilities, so let's just say I forced to put my money where my mouth was and ended up booking five exercise sessions. Yes, hard to believe I've been with my gym for over a year and have NEVER ATTENDED A GYM CLASS. Mainly, because I like the spa and thing food reduction is the way to lose weight also just thinking of exercise exhausts me. I needed to book them via the website but having never done it, my password failed so I rang, in front of my boss, the gym to book it. Proof. They are mainly low impact classes so nothing too strenuous or so I thought. Come Saturday, I'm down the gym for my pilates class with all these fit, slim and trendy people. It's a 9AM class so basically like a work day for me. I thought pilates was gentle. Not. I say this having done it for about three years in a dance school - yeah I was once about twenty pounds or ten kilos lighter - and the

HAPPY NEW YEAR - LET THE GOALS ROLL

Hello all. Happy New Year! So last year was awesome for me because I managed to achieve one goal. The biggest goal which was to get a new job. And that came with financial reward as well. Yay! It was hard, challenging, horrible. I hate change but I had to get out of the rut I was in. Dudes, I was desperate to move. So I dug deep, did my interview practice, attended a number of interviews and hit one. Yay. Now longer gaming. I didn't need the escapism with my new positive work environment. I also abandoned the iPhone family and went Android. To cut a long story short, I got bought an iPhone 8 but it was faulty - however Apple weren't transparent about their return policy - ALWAYS ASK ABOUT RETURN POLICY. Nor did they believe the phone was faulty. It was. Anyway I was so disgusted the arrogance of the 'apple people', I decided instead of getting a replacement to spend my money elsewhere. I'm still part of the Apple family. But the Apple Store sales assist
