Online Forums, Choices and Lunch is booked!

The team lunch was booked and paid for yesterday. Lil colleague and I went to pay the deposit in the late morning. Nothing interesting happening apart from we might have an inside christmas lunch again. We get a special season menu for a special price. The thing is during this season one gets to eat christmas dinner about a few times, so actual christmas dinner may be boring. Still not sure what I'm doing this year.

Started off on my pre-ultimate assignment. I drew a blank and decided about writer's block. Then I thought about writing a story from one of those internet story generators. So I did. Basically it was about ways to combat writer's block. Anyway I just needed 800 words and I'm near 900. Just a bit of cutting and editing would do now. After which I need to rewrite the pasage using some other stuff.

I popped into my online critiquing site where someone had posted something about a work colleague taking advange of them. I guess what took me aback is that from this person's strong responses in the forum and the way they conduct themselves respectfully, I was surprised about the situation.

But I guess with online communites one is basing people's personalities on their writing not real life.

It's strange how sometimes people get themselves into situations - I do but some of these situations I read about I can'tg even begin to imagine.  They don't happen on Planet Bigga Day. Just. Don't. And if they did, I'd nip it in the bud. Don't get me wrong, I do get caught up in difficult and awkward situation. Oh well wish her luck in sorting it out.

I'm stuck on writing my story. Maybe this is where I'm breaking the one goal at a time rule. I'll focus on finishing my grammar course, which is also writing, then cue this story for next. Over the holidays
I'll have to plan all my other work. Oh and my personal goal with contains writing as well. So basically two conflicting goals.

However up to now, out of my ten goals, I've gone a some way to acheive a degree of them. Next goal setting will be tighter and less implusive or dream like.
I'll post the story generator story when it's done, well marked - I don't want to be done for plagerising my own work.

Daily Writing Journal: Mo Money Challenge - week 8 which means £8 in the tin!

£8 in coins So I'm on my second week on saving and still not sure. I'm not feeling the pinch per se, but it's hard thinking how am I going to maintain this. So I managed to get a few coins out and gather some change, but at some point I'll really need to organise this. I've put in four fifty pence pieces with come up to two pounds sterling and the rest in pound coins.  Remember the money tin from last week. Well it all went inside that.... How am I feeling? Slightly bored but I still have a long way to go..... Saving money is boring, spending is more interesting.

Searching for office christmas party venue, celebrating Momma AG birthday.

Rang to sing Momma A G happy birthday! Got to work early and did some of my goal work. Also Accounting Guru Boss showed me an easy way of planning. She is a genius. It's that simple so I'm going to practice her method of planning.  I must say I've learn plenty. Working with her is like one long professional master class with private tuition.  Glamorous colleague also gave me tips on completing a goal related task. All tasks are like elephants tackle the largest on in the morning. Red Jumper colleague took the day off for Black Friday. Apparently he's waking up at early to go on the internet looking for deals after which he'll go to the shopping centre. Told him I was going to wait until boxing day to get a new purse. Then after all the excitement he was like 'What am I going to do on Cyber Monday." Glamorous and I went looking for some where for our team christmas lunch. She wasn't having us eat in a pub. She has high standards. She was okay abo

HAPPY NEW YEAR! HAPPY 2022! My year of decluttering my creativity!

Happy New Year, Everyone! This was a quiet one, after watching two films last night I called it a night and woke up in the New Year. What films you ask? Guess Who with Bernie Mac, Ashton Kutcher and a lot of cringe worthy jokes. Then I watched Aloha with Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, this was bit better. It had strong moments but I could see why they said it didn't really have any direction. Was it a romance? Was it a military story? It was hard to say what the movie was...a lesson in premise and precision but it gave a nice fluffy feeling and I must say Emma Stone did a brilliant job and so did John Krasinski - he acted with heart.  However it's a nice film and I learn a lot from it, but I think it would have missed the market because there were too many theme or subplots or whatever. Overall a brilliant cast, great acting but the story struggled with doing too much.  Decluttering My Creativity  This year, I'm focusing on decluttering my creativity in the sense of completing
