BIG NEWS! PART OF A WRITING GROUP! WEIGHT LOSS!

Hello Blog reading family,

I've got some exciting news! I'm now writing under a writing group. This is awesome. I'm so excited. It's the Wuraola Writing Group. www.wuraola.co.uk So excited about this. It's all coming together in some sort of way.

Other news

I'm on a fitness plan. Going to the gym five times a week. No it isn't that deep as I only do a twenty minute walk-run...But I hit 1-1.5km which is good for me. I've also looked into my eating. So a bit boring for now, no cake. Yes, no CAKE....but I was feeling terrible. I felt and looked fat. That is totally different from being fat. I've been fat for a long time but never felt fat not did I look fat in my eyes.

Also I had problems due to the weight. So I looked into my weight scale and found I was edging on morbidly obese. I am currently on the wrong end of the obese scale so I want to come down to overweight. I need to lost about 20 pounds for that. Yes, to move from obese to overweight I need to lost 20lb. I've lost about 1.5 so far and plan to hit target by September so lets see.

Otherwise, writing under the Wuraola Writing Group and I'm so excited.  Will keep you all updated.

Love

Anna

Daily Writing Journal: Mo Money Challenge - week 8 which means £8 in the tin!

So I'm on my second week on saving and still not sure. I'm not feeling the pinch per se, but it's hard thinking how am I going to maintain this. So I managed to get a few coins out and gather some change, but at some point I'll really need to organise this. I've put in four fifty pence pieces with come up to two pounds sterling and the rest in pound coins.
Remember the money tin from last week. Well it all went inside that....

How am I feeling? Slightly bored but I still have a long way to go..... Saving money is boring, spending is more interesting.

Daily Writing Journal:Kellogg Rebrands Cereals to standout the brand name Kellogs!

Walking round my Sainsburys for my weekly shopping, I suddenly noticed that Kelloggs had rebranded most of it's popular cereals.  At first I was confused but realised the big differences. Can you tell?

The first difference is Kelloggs has decided to manage it's brand name bigger and more dominant when before it was the actual cereal. Why? It suddenly occurred to me this was to make it stand out from the imitators such as the shop own brand.

As you can see from comparing the old Kelloggs packaging and Sainsbury's packaging there is little difference. Both have the product content in bold and both have the same colour packaging - blue. If you just wanted bran flakes then might as well get the cheaper one.

However with the new packaging, Kelloggs is screaming that you are getting Kelloggs brand, not just bran flakes. Actually the new packaging without the bold Kelloggs branding is pretty more similar to Sainsbury's.

They have also greyed out the traffic light, so it'…

My London Hood: The Postal Museum in London

I know communications has moved on and now everyone just uses text messages, emails and DMs or social media but The Postal Museum was a gem I found tucked in the depths of Clerkenwell (a London District), one day as I was going to Gails an artisan bakery.

It was free entry and had lots of activities for children and adults. The battered green post box on the left hand-side is the first ever, the next was a special edition for Queen Victoria and then gold one for some celebration. Not sure what, it was probably the Olympics or something.

Though small the had plenty of display, like old carriages, and tales of highway robbers and a few fire arms on display.

This was the motorbikes for the telegram boys, no need for that with email now.

Old fashioned telephones and there was a telephone box as well.

You can see a few around central London, but mostly for tourists.

A few display of war time letters, they were very poignant, and a few sad, others happy.

This was a sad one during one of t…
